System Requirements
| Requirement | Details |
|---|---|
| macOS | 14.0 (Sonoma) or later |
| Architecture | Apple Silicon (M1/M2/M3/M4) & Intel — Universal Binary |
| Disk Space | Less than 5 MB |

Menu Bar Display
After launching, KisoStats appears in your macOS menu bar with a compact two-line display that updates every 2 seconds:
↓12.5K CPU 15% SSD 45%
↑8.2K RAM 6.2G
| Symbol | Meaning |
|---|---|
↓ | Download speed (current network receive rate) |
↑ | Upload speed (current network transmit rate) |
CPU | Processor usage percentage |
RAM | Memory currently in use (in GB) |
SSD | Storage usage percentage |
Click on the menu bar display to open the detail panel with full system statistics and the disk cleanup tool.
System Monitor
The detail panel has three tabs: Monitor, Graph, and Cleanup. The Monitor tab shows comprehensive system statistics with visual indicators:
CPU
Current processor usage displayed as a percentage with a progress bar. Shows real-time load across all cores.
RAM
Memory usage in gigabytes with a percentage indicator. Shows how much of your total RAM is currently in use.
SSD
Storage usage with total capacity displayed. Shows used space as a percentage of your disk.
Network
Real-time download and upload speeds. Automatically scales between B/s, KB/s, MB/s, and GB/s.
Color Indicators
Each metric uses color coding for quick health assessment:
| Color | Usage Range | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Green | Under 50% | Normal |
| Orange | 50% – 80% | Elevated |
| Red | Over 80% | Critical |
History Graphs
The Graph tab shows CPU and RAM usage over time as sparkline charts with a 2-minute history (60 samples at 2-second intervals).
- CPU History — Processor usage percentage over the last 2 minutes
- RAM History — Memory usage percentage over the last 2 minutes
Each chart includes:
- Gradient fill for visual clarity
- Grid lines at 25%, 50%, and 75%
- Current value displayed as an overlay
Tip
The graphs start collecting data as soon as KisoStats launches. Leave the app running in the background to build up a history of system performance.
Disk Cleanup
The Cleanup tab helps you free up disk space by safely removing temporary and unnecessary files.
